Did We Joined The Dark Side of LEGO Star Wars?
Darth Vader fist-bumped Sarah Woodward of Untrained Slackers and she was automatically sold to the energy of the dark force. How did we get here? Being avid readers and advocates of learning, we decided to hit up our local book store. Imagine to our surprise — among the massive amounts of books — finding Darth Vader from Star Wars inside of a Barnes & Noble with his cohorts roaming about. There were some really amazing LEGO Star Wars themed displays as well! Suddenly, the Dark Side didn’t seem all that bad. There were bins filled with LEGO in an array of colors and shapes just waiting for someone to build with them. A fairly large turn out of Star Wars and LEGO fans were present at the event, crowding the main floor of the building. We finally got our chance to speak with the man himself.
A Talk With Darth About LEGO Good And Evil
Darth Vader was as tall and intimidating as he was strong in the force. We could see why some would see him as a bit standoffish. Vader decided to have a chat with us. He explained how the whole “evil guy” story was a bit twisted and taken out of context within the Star Wars storylines about The Dark Side. He stated that he’s actually interested in the Universe as a whole and would love to get his hands on it. All of it. His son, Luke, is just another angsty teenager unleashing his pent up rage over the past and dragged his sister into the whole mess.
Darth Vader then handed us an official certificate that would solidify our entry into the long time standing group. We noted that there were no cookies in sight, as the Dark Side commercials so often promise. Trusting nothing, but deciding to go with it anyway, we signed over to the Dark Side realizing it’s full potential!
An Epic LEGO Star Wars Battle You Say?
We then caught up with LEGO Chewbacca. Chewie attempted to battle and escape from the clutches of an LEGO Imperial Trooper! During the pursuit, Chewie crashed the Millennium Falcon during the battle into the planets surface seemingly destroying his only transport. The Storm Trooper spotted the crash, he prepared himself for the attack before losing his chance. Out of some kind of miracle, Chewie was able to get the ship going again. He entered warp speed causing the Trooper to lose visuals. He then unleashed a counter-attack in an epic attempt to combat the skilled droid.
And don’t forget to SUSCRIBE to the Untrained Slackers!
